Vienna State Opera 2008-09

The press conference to introduce the new season yesterday at the Wiener Staatsoper showed 4 new productions for the 2008-2009 season:

• Gounod's Faust, directed by Nicolas Joël and conducted by Bertrand DeBilly (premiere on Oct.11) Faust - Roberto Alagna Marguerite - Angela Gheorghiu Méphistophélès - Kwangchul Youn Valentin - Boaz Daniel Obviously, as nothing is clearly stated on the Vienna State Opera website, I'm wondering if this production is the same staged in Orange this summer. Considering it's the same director, Nicolas Joël, one could think so...
• Wagner's Goetterdaemmerung and Das Rheingold, both directed by Sven-Erich Bechtolf and conducted by Franz Welser-Moest
• Tchaïkovsky's Eugene Onegin, Falk Richter (director) and Seiji Ozawa (conductor)
